MEDITATIONS – Roses of Hope

ROSES of HOPE – MEDITATIONS was created as a series of paintings during the coronavirus pandemic in 2020-21. Throughout this period of solitude and isolation, artist Anne Korff wanted to share her artwork. Anne saw this as a way of providing support, inspiration and nourishment for the soul. Each painting is a meditation using energy, colour and shape to bring us hope and solace.

MEDITATIONS - Roses of Hope

Anne’s paintings invite us to join her in contemplating the symbolism of rose and star, love, loss, memory, peace and hope. The symbolism of star and rose, East and West blend in a fusion of sumptuous colour and shape. The tonic lift of yellow and orange, the warm expansion of red and the calming stillness of ultramarine and deep violet.

Anne has worked as a volunteer with refugees on the Greek Island of Chios. In 2018-19 she organised exhibitions of her artwork as fundraisers for the refugee charity, Chios Eastern Shore Response Team (CESRT). For the past 12 years, she has been a full-time artist, channelling her rich life experience into her paintings.
